" [Les sionistes] ne se mêlent pas aux Ottomans et ne leur achètent rien. Ils sont propriétaires de l'Anglo-Palestine Bank, qui leur prête à un taux ne dépassant pas 1% par an. Chaque village a mis en place un bureau administratif et une école, chaque kaza (district) une administration centrale et chaque district a un administrateur général.
Ils ont un drapeau bleu au centre duquel se trouve une étoile de David et, en dessous, un mot hébreu qui signifie «Sion», car dans la Torah, Jérusalem est appelée la «fille de Sion». Ils élèvent ce drapeau à la place du drapeau ottoman lors de leurs célébrations et rassemblements; et ils chantent l'hymne sioniste. Ils ont trompé le gouvernement avec mensonge et tromperie en s’inscrivant sur les registres en tant que sujets ottomans, car ils continuent de porter des passeports étrangers qui les protègent; et chaque fois qu'ils se rendent devant les tribunaux ottomans, ils produisent leurs propres passeports et font appel à une protection étrangère; ils règlent leurs revendications et leurs différends entre eux au su de l'administrateur, et ils ne se tournent pas vers le gouvernement. Ils enseignent à leurs enfants une formation physique et l'utilisation des armes; vous voyez leurs maisons remplies d'armes, parmi lesquelles de nombreux fusils Martini. Ils ont un service postal spécial, des timbres spéciaux, etc., ce qui prouve qu'ils ont commencé à définir leurs objectifs politiques et à mettre en place leur gouvernement imaginaire. Si le gouvernement ne fixe pas de limite à ce flot torrentiel, peu de temps passera avant que vous ne constatiez que la Palestine est devenue la propriété de l'Organisation sioniste, de ses associés ou de la nation susmentionnée [les Juifs]. " [The Zionists] do not mix with the Ottomans, and do not buy anything from them. They own the Anglo-Palestine Bank which makes loans to them at a rate not exceeding 1 percent per annum. Every village has set up an administrative office and a school, every kaza (district) a central administration, and every district has a general administrator.
They have a blue flag in the middle of which is a Star of David, and below that is a Hebrew word meaning “Zion,” because in the Torah Jerusalem is called the “Daughter of Zion.” They raise this flag instead of the Ottoman flag at their celebrations and gatherings; and they sing the Zionist anthem. They have deceived the government with lying and falsehood when the enroll themselves as Ottoman subjects in the registers, for they continue to carry foreign passports which protect them; and whenever they go to the Ottoman courts, they produce their own passports and summon foreign protection; they settle their claims and differences amongst themselves with the knowledge of the administrator, and they do not turn to the government. They teach their children physical training and the use of arms; you see their houses crammed with weapons, among them many Martini rifles. They have a special postal service, special stamps, etc., which proves that they have begun setting up their political aims and establishing their imaginary government. If the government does not set a limit to this torrential stream, no time will pass before you see that Palestine has become a property of the Zionist Organization or its associates or of the nation mentioned above [the Jews]. "
