Interview par le périodique Der Spiegel. Depuis 1969, les publications sionistes ont résumé cette citation par l’expression « frontières d’Auschwitz » pour parler de ce qu’aurait été Israël avant 1967, afin de justifier l’occupation. Cette expression absurde a été répétée par des ministres israéliens (Uri Landau, Zeev Elkin) après 2010.
