"En ce qui concerne la Galilée, M. [Moshe] Sharett vous a déjà dit qu'environ 100 000 Arabes vivent encore dans la poche de Galilée. Supposons qu'une guerre éclate. Nous pourrons alors nettoyer d'un seul coup toute la région de Galilée centrale, y compris tous ses réfugiés. Dans ce contexte, permettez-moi de mentionner certains médiateurs qui ont proposé de nous donner la Galilée sans guerre. Ce qu'ils entendaient par là, c'était la Galilée peuplée. Ils ne nous ont pas offert la Galilée vide, que nous ne pouvions avoir qu'au moyen d'une guerre. Par conséquent, si une guerre est étendue à l'ensemble de la Palestine, notre plus grand gain sera la Galilée. Then we will be able to cleanse the entire area of Central Galilee, including all its refugees, in one stroke. In this context let me mention some mediators who offered to give us the Galilee without war. What they meant was the populated Galilee. They didn’t offer us the empty Galilee, which we could have only by means of a war. Therefore if a war is extended to cover the whole of Palestine, our greatest gain will be the Galilee. It is because without any special military effort which might imperil other fronts, only by using the troops already assigned for the task, we could accomplish our aim of cleansing the Galilee.
