Quotation from David Ben Gurion “We don't need agreement with the Arabs in order to keep the peace in Palestine” — June 9 1936

In a letter to the executive of the Jewish Agency, explains its concept of "peace", a truce in view of a new war.

Author : Thematics :
" We don't need agreement with the Arabs in order to keep the peace in Palestine. Peace is, without doubt, extremely important to us. You cannot build a country in a state of permanent war. But for us peace is a means to an end. Our end is the full realization of Zionism. That is the only reason we need peace. The Jewish people will not agree, nor should we, to a peace agreement that is not directed to that end. "
