- Xavier Valllat was responsible for France’s anti-Jewish measures from March 1941 to July 1942 in his capacity as Commissioner General for Jewish Affairs. In 1967, in the aftermath of the Six-Day War, he spoke out in favor of an expulsion Zionism, that is, the complete emigration of Jews to Israel.
