Ce n’est pas une citation. Chomsky écrit, page 161 de “The Fateful Triangle” (1983) : "It might be noted that the “boundaries of Zionist aspirations” in Ben-Gurion’s vision were quite broad, including southern Lebanon, southern Syria, today’s Jordan, all of cis-Jordan [the West Bank], and the Sinai". Note 193. Sa note pour cette assertion: Report to the World Council of Poalei Zion (the forerunner of the Labor Party), Tel Aviv, 1938; cited by Israel Shahak, J. of Palestine Studies, Spring 1981. “Boundaries of Zionist aspiration” n’est que la reprise d’une expression utilisée par Ben Gourion dans une citation réelle mentionnée juste avant par Chomsky. La suite, de “southern Lebanon” à “Sinai”, n’est pas indiquée comme une citation mais comme un résumé. La note 193, “Rapport au Conseil Mondial de Poalei Zion, Tel Aviv, 1938”, n’a pu être vérifiée dans le texte d’Israel Shahak intitulé “The ‘historical right’ and the Other Holocaust”. A noter aussi que “Cisjordanie” ne peut être antérieur à 1949.
