- In 2016, Eyal Karim (Krim) was appointed head of Israel’s military rabbinate by Gadi Eisenkot, one of the architects of the “disproportionate” war against the Palestinians. Karim had explained in 2002 that the Torah permitted soldiers to rape women in times of war.
